Setting the New DNS IP's in your PC
Choose your Operating System:
In your Windows Vista PC or Laptop
- Step 1- Go to Start and click Control Panel
- Step 2- Choose View Network Status & Tasks under the Network & Internet category as shown below
- Step 3- This will take you to the Network & Sharing section of the Control Panel as shown below, then click on Manage Network Connections.
- Step 4- Right Click on Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
- Step 5- Inside Local Area Properties window, choose Internet Protocol Version 4 and then click he Properties button
- Step 6- Now click inside the box to the right of where it says Preferred DNS Server, and using the Delete or Backspace keys on your keyboard, remove all of the numbers in this box and the box directly below it.
- Step 7- After the box is empty, click in the far left of the box and proceed to enter the same number that is used for the Gateway in the box directly above the Preferred DNS Server box. In the example image below, you see this person's Gateway was 216.171.65.190, therefore they removed everything in the Preferred DNS Server box and entered 216.171.65.190. In the box directly below where you have just entered your Gateway, you want to enter the following IP address 63.246.225.1.
- Step 8- Now you save all of your new settings by clicking OK or Close buttons in the bottom right corner of each of these open windows. Congratulations, you have upgraded your DNS settings!

In your Windows XP PC or Laptop
- Step 1- Go to Start and click Control Panel
- Step 2- Choose Network & Internet Connetctions in the Control Panel as shown below
- Step 3- Right Click on Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
- Step 5- Inside Local Area Properties window, choose Internet Protocol and then click he Properties button
- Step 6- Now click inside the box to the right of where it says Preferred DNS Server, and using the Delete or Backspace keys on your keyboard, remove all of the numbers in this box and the box directly below it.
- Step 7- After the box is empty, click in the far left of the box and proceed to enter the same number that is used for the Gateway in the box directly above the Preferred DNS Server box. In the example image below, you see this person's Gateway was 216.171.65.190, therefore they removed everything in the Preferred DNS Server box and entered 216.171.65.190. In the box directly below where you have just entered your Gateway, you want to enter the following IP address 63.246.225.1.
- Step 8- Now you save all of your new settings by clicking OK or Close buttons in the bottom right corner of each of these open windows. Congratulations, you have upgraded your DNS settings!

In your Apple Mac
- Step 1- In the Applications folder, choose System Preferences
- Step 2- Open System Preferences and click Network
- Step 3- In the Network window you will choose Built-in Ethernet and then click the Configure button below
- Step 5- The center of the next window should look similar to the image below. Click inside the DNS Servers block and remove everything there and proceed to enter the same address that is used for the Router IP to the left of the DNS Server box. In the example image below, you see this person's Router IP was 216.171.65.190, therefore they removed everything in the DNS Server box and entered 216.171.65.190. After typing that IP, hit the Enter keyand the cursor will drop down below. You want to enter the following IP address 63.246.225.1 there.
- Step 6- Now you save all of your new settings by clicking the Apply Now button. Congratulations, you have upgraded your DNS settings!
